Carve Your Own Path (CYOP) specializes in a trauma-informed, culturally competent, LGBTQ+ affirming, and holistic approach to counseling. We utilize the mind body-connection as a basis for our treatment interventions to support your healing from numerous health conditions.

Each of our therapists is trained and competent in the delivery of virtual visits. Art Therapy:

Art Therapy is an integrative mental health and human services profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship. Art Therapy, facilitated by a professional art therapist, effectively supports personal and relational treatment goals as well as community concerns.

Embodied Therapy:

We know based on research that our bodies can store our emotions and trauma.  When we use embodied interventions we are able to bring the brain (emotional) and the body (physiological) together. In this session we will work to create meaningful interactions using our body including breathwork to release emotions or trauma that may be stuck.  Yoga combined with breathwork are a great place to start experiencing and exploring embodiment.

During this session a gentle yoga practice will assist in bringing about awareness of physical sensations and how our body might respond to different situations. Embodied therapy is an integrative practice that creates a sacred space where time expands and slows down, allowing you to find your deepest sense of self.

CYOP provides a FREE 15-minute initial phone consult for anyone interested in exploring their specific reasons for presenting for therapy, discussing possible treatment options and ensuring the appropriateness of fit.

If we feel we are a good fit for your needs, we will get you scheduled for an initial assessment with your therapist. This appointment allows your therapist to understand you better and identify an individualized plan for your healing.

  • Reiki

    Reiki is a form of holistic therapy where our practitioner transfers energy to the patient to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. During a typical session, you will lay down or sit comfortably while our Reiki instructor lightly places their hands on or near the body, focusing on specific energy centers. Reiki can help reduce stress, alleviate pain, support the immune system, and encourage spiritual growth.

  • Yoga

    Yoga involves a series of movements and postures that are designed to strengthen the body and improve flexibility, while also promoting inner peace and tranquility. Making yoga feel even more impactful is the emphasis on mindfulness and connection with the breath. Yoga can be a powerful tool for improving both physical and mental well-being.

  • Professional Education Services

    We strive to help other mental health professionals to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to support their clients effectively through evidence-based care. Our continuing education opportunities and clinical training and supervision services play a vital role in producing skilled and compassionate industry leaders who can make a significant difference in the lives of their clients.
