Amanda Kostura

Amanda Kostura, LISW-S (she/her/hers)
Founder & President

​Amanda Kostura is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Child and Family Development and a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Akron.

Amanda has been employed in the behavioral health field for over 12 years in both direct service and administrative positions. Her experiences have created expertise in treating substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, chronic pain and trauma. She has also built competence in the areas of domestic violence, the mind-body connection, and generational trauma.  She has a strong passion for working with and empowering oppressed/disenfranchised populations. Amanda views her clients from a strengths-based and person-in-environment approach, meaning she believes you already have everything you need within you to reach your goals! 

Amanda is also committed to empowering the next generation of wellness professionals through training supervision of social workers, and ongoing education of licensed clinicians.

Jenna Savago

Jenna Savago, LPCC, MA, ATR, CCTP  (she/her/hers) 
Mental Health Therapist, Art Therapist

Jenna Savago is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Art Therapist with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a Minor in Psychology and Fine Arts from Kent State University. Jenna has a Master’s of Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College. 

Jenna has been practicing Counseling and Art Therapy since 2017 with experience working with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, LGBTQ+, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and life changes. Jenna is passionate about the LGBTQ+ community and has worked with Trans Gender Non-Conforming individuals regarding support and letters for gender-affirming surgeries and other needs. ​

Jenna utilizes Art therapy and Counseling through a Person-Centered approach to address a client’s specific needs, strengths, and growth.​

Lisa R. Schaefer

Lisa R. Schaefer, MS, MSSA,LISW, LICDC-CS (she/her/hers)
Mental Health Therapist, Yoga Teacher & Reiki Healer

Lisa R. Schaefer is a Licensed Social Worker. Lisa graduated with her Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve University in 2019. Lisa received her Master of Science in Forensic Psychology from Tiffin University in 2009.

Lisa has been in the behavioral health field since 2006 giving Lisa extensive experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. Lisa uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Mind-Body Therapy, and EMDR in her practice. Lisa is a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT-200) and a Reiki Master. Lisa teaches clients how to create a healthy alliance between mind and body which enables clients to manage stress, heal trauma, and create a functional lifestyle. Lisa works to provide holistic and trauma-informed care utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing on all levels. 

In addition to traditional counseling sessions, Lisa offers Embodied Therapy incorporating Yoga and breathwork, as well as EMDR sessions for reprocessing and healing trauma and anxiety.

Lily Roth

Lily Roth  (she/they) 
Volunteer Marketing Support

Lily Roth has been volunteering with Carve Your Own Path since May 2023, originally for a summer internship placement. Lily became so passionate about our organization's mission, and offered to stay on to support us in a volunteer role.

Lily's social media and other marketing talents have been invaluable to our organization's outreach and education to the community. We are so very thankful for Lily's commitment to CYOP through this role.

    Support for job advancements, demotions, relationship losses, grief from the loss of a loved one, relocation, and more.

    Support for excessive worry, feeling on edge/tense, difficulty concentrating, excessive fatigue, sleep problems, and more.

  • Chronic Health and Chronic Pain

    Support for chronic health and chronic pain conditions like overwhelm with appointments, impact on social life/relationships, and more.

  • Depression

    Support for those experiencing sadness, appetite changes, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and thoughts of self-harm or suicide.

  • LGBTQ+ Support Needs

    Providing gender-affirming care practices to increase safety, support autonomy, and decrease barriers for LGBTQ+ folks seeking mental health and wellness services.

  • Trauma, PTSD, and CPTSD

    Support for those experiencing effects from traumas relating to a serious accident, crime, combat, natural disaster, sexual assault, or other traumatic experience.
